This dataset includes thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) data from polymer-modified silica nanoparticles. In this experiment, the mass of the sample is determined as a function of temperature. As the temperature is increased and certain polymer components decompose the mass drops. From the temperature of the mass loss, various components of the hybrid particle can be determined, as well as their original composition. In these experiments, we have silica nanoparticle (SiNP) modified poly(caprolactone) and hyperbranched poly(glycidol) with varying degrees of grafting densities. The samples contain the varying composition of each component, and the TGA data are used to quantitatively determine composition.
