Mice were introduced to E.coli O80:H26 (donor) and Salmonella Heidelberg with chromosomally conferred resistance to rifampin (Rif) (recipient) bacterial strains to study transfer of AMR (e.g. beta-lactamase bla-CMY2) in mouse gut by monitoring both plasmid content and AMR molecular locations (chromosome and plasmid).
