Dataset for: Evidence of salt accumulation in beach intertidal zone due to evaporation

Groundwater flow and salt transport was measured and simulated in a Delaware beach subjected tides, waves and evaporation. Groundwater table, tide level and pore-water salinity were measured in the field in seven discontinuous days by collecting and analyzing pore-water and sediment samples there. The simulation was conducted using the density dependent variably saturate groundwater model MARUN. The dataset includes the measurements along with simulation results such as groundwater table, tide level and pore-water salinity at different depths.
