Instant messaging and communication apps global DAU 2022

In 2022, WhatsApp was the chat and communication app most used on daily basis among Android users, with 1.22 billion daily active users (DAU). Facebook messenger ranked second, with over 404 million DAU, while Telegram had reached almost 200 million users active on daily basis. Video and photo-sharing social media and chat app Snapchat recorded approximately 168 million DAU among global users in the examined year.
