Four research flights were conducted over Johannesburg and the Eastern Highveld of South Africa in 2007. Instrumentation on board the aircraft measured in-situ temperature, pressure, NOy, GPS position, aerosol size spectrum. A high-spectral resolution pushbroom imaging spectrometer was fitted in nadir-viewing geometry.
