The nucleoredoxin-like 2 (Nxnl2) gene reporter stain (Nxnl2R) was created using Velocigene stem cells. Those cells carry a beta-galactosidase reporter knock-in in the Nxnl2 locus replacing the coding sequence of the gene for the two proteins, rod-derived cone viability factor (RdCVF2) and the thioredoxin like protein RdCVF2L. Brain sections of the Nxnl2R/+ and its negative control (Nxnl2+/+), both of C57Bl/6N genetic background were stained using beta-galactosidase enzymatic reaction. The staining was read using Allen Mouse Brain Atlas version 2 (2011). Here we present brain section images of a mouse model designed to expression profile of the Nxnl2 gene.
