资源简介:

This thesis aims to further understanding of how motor and episodic memories are formed, whether these different types of memories interact, and the neurophysiological mechanisms that support new sequence learning. In healthy adults, we observed behavioural evidence that memories interact with one another at the level of their structural features, that is, the order and timing of these memories. Furthermore, we observed that new motor sequence learning is accompanied by a shift towards reduced neural inhibition across motor cortical networks. The theoretical implications these findings have for memory classifications and motor learning are discussed.
