Variation in antimicrobial resistance gene occurrence in the caecal microbiota of broiler chickens

The study examined the prevalence of the microbiome and antibiotic resistance genes in the ceca of broilers that were fed with different diet in treatment 1 (without any antibiotics and probiotics), treatment 2 (with antibiotics) and treatment 3(with probiotics) from the time they were day-old chicks until they reached market age totaling seven weekly collections.
