Site Data from an Archaeological Evaluation and Watching Brief at Ellen Badger Hospital, Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire, 2022 - 2023

This collection comprises images and CAD data from an archaeological evaluation and watching brief at Ellen Badger Hospital, Shipston-on-Stour, Stratford-on-Avon, Warwickshire. Work was undertaken by Archaeology Warwickshire in August 2022 and between December 2022 and February 2023 ahead of construction of a replacement hospital, medical centre, cafe, and associated infrastructure. No archaeological features were present in the excavated trenches. Layers of modern disturbance contained pottery and other finds dating from the 19th - 20th centuries. The watching brief revealed no significant archaeological finds or features. A 19th-century brick-lined well and mid 20th-century brick foundations were recorded.
