Wistar rat microbiome affected by Chronic Unpredictable Mild Stress and Short-Chain Fatty Acids supplementation

The goal is to assess the impact of a 6-week Chronic Unpredictable Mild Stress model of depression in Wistar rats gut microbiome composition. Rats received a 1-week Short Chain Fatty Acid supplementation (acetate, butyrate, propionate, or a mix of these 3 SCFAs) to assess the impact of these supplementations both in control animals and in CUMS-susceptible animals.
