We reported a 28-day Intermittent fasting (IF) regimen improved cognitive deficits in db/db mice via a microbiota-metabolites-brain axis assessed by behavioral tests and multiple-omics analysis (transciptomics, 16S rRNA sequencing and metabolomics). Here we present the 16s rRNA sequencing data before and after intermittent fasting (IF) regimen. A total of 1.21 Gb of clean amplicon sequencing reads was merged and aligned to 3298 zero-radius operational taxonomy units and classified into 106 bacterial groups at genus level. We detected huge microbial change after the IF regimen intervention.
