Bacterial communities associated to fish farms

In this study, we characterized the bacterial communities present on environmental sediment samples collected near to the farm cages and along distance gradients from two aquaculture installations, and at control sites. Then we evaluate the effect of this activity on bacterial assemblages and calculated 2 biotic indices. One based on the putative response of bacterial taxa to stress and another one using a taxonomy-free de novo approach.
