Economics Of Improved Seed Yam Production: Implications For Food Security In Cameroon

The data consists of responses to a survey questionnaire from the heads of 394 smallholder households located in the North West region of Cameroon. The purpose of the survey was to collect data on the characteristics of households who have, or have not, adopted the minisett technique (a technique for producing healthy ware (seed) yams) and data relating to production of yams (e.g. area planted, yield, quantity of inputs, and cost and revenue information). The full details of the data collected, the sampling procedure and a copy of the questionnaire are reported in the thesis. Data was analysed in order to establish the efficiency of minisett production and to explore the determinants of adoption of the minisett technique and the extent of that adoption.
