Snails were collected from Japan and USA and reared in a laboratory at different salinities of 43, 33, 23, and 13 PSU for 30 days. The data is used to determine the differences between the two native and invasive snails in the aspect of molecular genetics, and to report the potential genes that are likely to be essential for tolerance to environmental stress of the native snails and adaptive evolution of the invasive congeners.
