Role of oxytosis/ferroptosis in Pde6b-associated retinitis pigmentosa

Retinitis pigmentosa is an inherited retinal dystrophy, which causes severe visual impairment and vision loss. Retinitis pigmentosa leads to the progressive degeneration of photoreceptors. This retinal dystrophy is caused by various inherited mutations. In this study, we investigated the mechanism of retinal degeneration caused by a mutation in the Pde6b gene.
