The essay deals with a theme as old as Philosophy: who is the philosopher and what can be the possible relationship of his thought with life? Some examples of clear contrast between common sense and philosophical reason are proposed to conclude that some intuitions deemed absurd at the time of their appearance have been confirmed by modern science and that, although complex, the relationship between Philosophy and daily life exists: we must strive to become aware of it in order to understand points of view often very distant from ours.
