Data and R scripts for climatic niche conservatism and refugial divergence in two Mediterranean Cistus species

This dataset brings together the cleaned occurrence records, R scripts, and summary tables used in the study of Cistus albidus and Cistus creticus across the Mediterranean Basin. It includes the main steps of the analysis, from occurrence-data cleaning and predictor selection to Maxent tuning, model evaluation, current and palaeoclimatic projections, MESS-based extrapolation checks, spatial overlap analyses, climatic niche comparisons, haplotype-network reconstruction, and AMOVA. The files are provided to support transparency and reproducibility of the analyses reported in the manuscript.
