InformAria Survey Dataset

These data were collected in the framework of InformAria, a co-creation experimentation run in Milan within the EU H2020 project MOSAIC, which was com¬mitted to study, design and test co-creation as a method to address Mission-related challenges by developing shared solutions.

In Milan, the challenge at the center of the co-creation process was the co-production of technological instruments aimed at supporting residents and city users of Milan in making informed decisions relat-ed to air quality in the city (e.g., choosing the best days for outdoor sports activities).

Starting from here, 40 volunteers from the quadruple helix (researchers, policy makers, industry and civil society) worked in groups to build concrete proposals to be submitted to the Municipality of Milan, aimed at Milan's citizens and city users. The entire process was designed, coordinated and run at the local level by Fondazione Giannino Bassetti, in collaboration with the Green and Environment Unit of the Municipality of Milan and the public agency AMAT (Agenzia Mobilità Ambiente e Territorio).

In order to have a more structured idea of the Milan population’s experience on air quality and to define some practical aspects of the tools to be developed, the co-creation participants expressed the need to address the city’s inhabitants directly as potential users of their products. 

This resulted in a survey, with questions developed by the participants of both groups on the basis of their specific objectives, under the supervision of the Bassetti Foundation researchers. The administration of the questionnaire was outsourced to a specialised agency.
