Cebus aequatorialis genome sequencing with ORG.one

The Ecuadorian Capuchin (Cebus aequatorialis) is a critically endangered species that inhabits the El Oro province in Ecuador. The species is threatened by deforestation, hunting, and the pet trade. As their habitat has been fragmented, Cebus aequatorialis forages in plantations, where it is often hunted by farmers. Captive individuals have also been seen in villages and markets along the Ecuador-Peru border. Genomic data is not available for this species, which is why this project aims to obtain a reference genome for the Ecuadorian Capuchin.
