Immunofluorescence images of primary visual cortex in mouse and opossum (Gorzek & Trachtenberg, 2026)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains immunofluorescence images from the primary visual cortex (V1) of adult mouse (Mus musculus) and gray short-tailed opossum (Monodelphis domestica). Images were generated as part of a comparative study (Gorzek & Trachtenberg, 2026) of cortical cell types, inhibitory circuitry, and extracellular matrix organization across deeply diverged mammalian lineages.Coronal brain sections were stained for combinations of parvalbumin (PV) and Wisteria floribunda agglutinin (WFA; peri-neuronal nets) or NeuN (neurons; for density estimates). CC1 (oligodendrocytes) staining was performed separately for additional opossum sections. Sections include medial and lateral aspects of V1 from each hemisphere. Images are provided as raw or minimally processed fluorescence micrographs and are intended to support reproducibility, reanalysis, and comparative anatomical studies. See the associated publication for more details.
