Molecular Epidemiology of Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL)-Producing Escherichia coli and Klebsiella species in Tennessee Dairy Farms

The goal of this project was to determine the prevalence and molecular epidemiology of ESBL-E. coli and -Klebsiella species isolated from dairy cattle, the broader farm environment (manure, feed, and water), and raw bulk tank milk. The information generated from this research could help inform evidence-based intervention and potential public health risks arising from dairy farms.
