Genes activated in an SREBP1 dependent manner in ovarian cancer cells exposed to serum starvation and hypoxia

To identify genes activated under serum starvation and hypoxia condition in an SREBP1 dependent manner, we performed cDNA microarray analysis with an ovarian cancer cell line OVSAYO. Cells were transfected with nonspecific (NS)- or SREBP1 specific-siRNA and cultured for 30 h under normoxia with 10% fetal calf serum. Cells were further cultured without serum for 16 h under normoxia and 1% O2. Total RNA was isolated for cDNA microarray analysis.
