1 The production types required by the partial equilibrium economic model are beef cattle, slaughter cattle, dairy, swine and sheep. The production types used in NAADSM and listed in this Table are adjusted as follows: Cow-Calf + Beef (backyard) = beef cattle; Feedlot (small) + Feedlot (large) = beef slaughter; Dairy = dairy; Swine (small) + Swine (large) + Swine (backyard) = swine; Goats + Sheep + Small ruminants (backyard) = sheep.Number of Animals and Herds by Production Type in Study Region.
