A harmonized eco-economic gridded dataset for Southeast Asia, 1985–2020

This record provides a harmonized eco-economic gridded dataset for the 11 ASEAN countries covering 1985–2020. The release contains harmonized land use/land cover (LULC), population (POP), gross domestic product (GDP), a LULC-derived relative habitat-quality (HQ) index, and ADM0, ADM1 and ADM2 ZoneID rasters on a common EPSG:4326 grid with a cell size of 0.000269494585°, approximately 30 m at the equator. Administrative boundaries, lookup tables, parameter tables, quality-assurance records, metadata, file-integrity information and processing code are also provided. LULC, POP and HQ are available at five-year intervals from 1985 to 2020, while GDP is available at five-year intervals from 1990 to 2020. POP and GDP are source-support-constrained spatial refinements of source totals and should not be interpreted as independent socioeconomic observations at the release-grid resolution. HQ is a relative index generated from harmonized LULC under a fixed regional parameter scenario. The dataset supports same-grid spatial overlay, administrative aggregation and cross-scale comparison across Southeast Asia.
