资源简介:
This dataset presents electron microprobe analysis - wavelength dispersive spectrometries and scanning electron microanalysis - energy dispersive spectrometry analyses of olivine, oxides, sulfides, and alloys in the main nickel mineralized lithology, dunite, at the Crawford Ni-Co-(PGE) deposit, Abitibi greenstone belt, Superior Province, Ontario, Canada. The analytical results, obtained from 13 carbon-coated polished section, document detailed chemical compositions, calculated molecular formulae and mineral-specific parameters to evaluate the effect of serpentinization on the primary and secondary mineralogy. This data provides insight on olivine, chromite, secondary magnetite, pentlandite, heazlewoodite, awaruite, native copper, and copper sulfides in the variably serpentinized dunite unit of the Crawford mafic to ultramafic intrusion. Olivine, oxides, sulfides and alloys in the dunitic section of the Crawford intrusion are grouped according to the degree of serpentinization, as determined petrographically. This classification allows for the comparison of mineral chemistry (specifically olivine, sulfides, and alloys) in the weak, moderate, and strong degrees of serpentinization observed in the Crawford intrusion.
