Sedimentary carbon stocks and microbial turnover in shallow coastal areas of the Baltic Sea

This dataset contains sediment, porewater, environmental, and calculated site-level data from 20 shallow coastal sites in southern Finland. The sites represent gradients in salinity, depth-attenuated wave exposure, sediment characteristics, and dissolved porewater constituents. The dataset supports research on sediment organic-carbon stocks, porewater solute concentrations, diffusive fluxes and estimated carbon turnover in shallow coastal sediments.
