Awareness and Prevalence of risk factor of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) among college population - A Survey study

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a lung disease characterized by obstruction in the airflow which interferes with the normal breathing pattern. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced COPD will be the third common cause for death by 2020. Smoking is the most significant risk factor for developing COPD, although other risk factors include occupational exposure, air pollution exposure, and respiratory infections. The severity distribution and progression of disease in younger patients with COPD is similar to that of patients of older age.
