资源简介:
The PANGEA HIV project was established to adapt modern molecular epidemiology and phylodynamics of HIV sequence data to generate new insights into HIV transmission dynamics in generalised epidemics in Africa, and to provide a potential new approach for the evaluation of transmission interventions. In order to achieve these goals, a large network was formed between partners across Africa, the United States of America and Europe. Samples and demographic data were collected as part of the Rakai Health Sciences Program (Uganda), the HPTN 071 study, (PopART, Zambia), Partners in PrEP and Partners in Prevention studies (both Kenya and Uganda), and studies done by the Botswana-Harvard AIDS Institute Partnership (Botswana), by the Medical Research Council/Uganda Virus Research Institute (Uganda) and by the Africa Health Research Institute (South Africa). Over 10,000 samples were sequenced and assembled; the assembled genomes can be accessed via GenBank. For linked sequencing and demographic data, pangea-hiv@ucl.ac.uk or the leadership of individual studies should be contacted.
