PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of stabbing and/or adsorbing and transporting only a veneer on a top layer， even when irregularities are generated. SOLUTION: A feeder 1 for taking out and shipping a veneer on the top layer from a deposited deposition veneer 4 to a direction perpendicular to a fiber direction， includes a pickup device 6 having many pickup tools， a transport device， and a veneer detection sensor 10 for detecting a deposition state of an upper layer of the deposition veneer. In the veneer feeder 1， a pickup tool is operated， which corresponds to a part detected that a veneer exists on the top layer by the veneer detection sensor 10. SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
