Integrated Multi-Source Dataset on Typhoon Impacts, Tracks, Total Rainfall and Socioeconomic Indicators in China (2003–2018)

This dataset covers multi-source typhoon-related information for China from 2003 to 2018, including: (1) Tropical Cyclone Best Track (CMABST) Dataset offers six-hourly positional and intensity data for tropical cyclones in the Northwest Pacific and its adjacent seas (including the South China Sea, north of the equator, and west of 180°E). This dataset encompasses key parameters such as central pressure and the 2-minute average maximum wind speed near the center, providing detailed records of the dynamic characteristics of typhoons. (2) Total Typhoon-Induced Rainfall Dataset includes observational station information and total rainfall data, with the latter directly used to represent the rainfall-induced disaster intensity of typhoons. (3) Typhoon Disaster Losses Dataset provides provincial-level statistics on direct economic losses, affected populations, and affected crop areas caused by typhoon disasters per year. (4) Socioeconomic Indicator Dataset comprises 45 province-level potential socioeconomic indicators spanning the three dimensions of exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity.
