We revealed the epigenetic mechanism under drought stress by changes in whole-genome DNA methylation. Different types of methylation have different changes. The methylation levels of some transcription factor genes have changed significantly under drought stress treatment. This is the first time to explain the drought resistance mechanism of the hulless barley from the DNA methylation, which providing new ideas for studying plant drought resistance.
