GHG Emissions per food group and households and their characteristics

This dataset enables reproduction of figures from Carr et al. (2025), "Eating habits and sociodemographic factors impact household dietary greenhouse gas emissions reduction in the UK". The file "GHG_per_food_per_household.csv" contains data for Figures 1 to 3, while "household_characteristics.csv" provides data for Figure 4.Original greenhouse gas emissions data were sourced from Clark et al. (2022), PNAS 119 (33), e2120584119. UK shopping product information was derived from Kantar’s Worldpanel Take Home dataset.Data aggregation specifics for this study include:Supermarket products aggregated into 27 distinct food groups.Selection restricted to households showing reduced dietary GHG emissions.Household characteristics aggregated to minimise group sizes and were limited to the most recent data available.
