Images from a Historic Building Recording Survey at the Old Workshop, Fernilee Reservoir, Derbyshire 2022

This collection comprises images from a historic building recording of a former workshop (named here the Old Workshop) and an adjacent semi earth-bound structure (possibly a former Air Raid Shelter) located near Fernilee Reservoir, Derbyshire, in advance of the proposed residential conversion York Archaeology was commissioned by High Peak Architects, on behalf of Duncan Fife, to undertake this work on the 1st March 2020. The historic building recording has provided an account of the developmental history and purpose of the Old Workshop and adjacent Air Raid Shelter that is deemed to be appropriate to the buildings' significance following the research aims. The interpretation of the buildings' development was not appreciably hampered by obscured evidence that may be revealed during the course of conversion/restoration works.
