The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a seed having high storage ability by accumulating cuticula， which is a substance capable of protecting the surface of a plant， in the surface part of the seed at a high level; and a plant of which seeds have improved storage capability. Provided is a method for increasing the accumulation of cuticula in a seed coat by expressing a transcription regulation factor encoded by "LMI2 gene" or "MYB16 gene" or "MYB106 gene" originated from a plant Arabidopsis thaliana or a homologue of the transcription regulation factor in a plant of interest under the control of a promoter originated from CYP77A6 gene.
