Digital Archive from a Geophysical Survey at Rothwell Central, Rothwell, Northamptonshire 2023

This collection comprises geophysics data and georeferenced raster images from an archaeological geophysical survey of agricultural land located to the west of Rothwell, Northamptonshire. The survey was undertaken by MOLA Northampton on 28th and 29th March 2023. The purpose of the survey was to seek and map any archaeological remains that may be affected by the proposed 'Rothwell Central' development scheme.
The survey identified a number of linear ditches which, although not conclusively dated, may form part of a field system linked to Iron Age settlements previously identified on land to the north and south. Medieval ridge and furrow and a headland were also detected.
