Importance of hydrological networking for the hydrochemical situation of floodplains in the Orth/Donau area

Study on behalf of NP Donauauen GmbH Scientific series issue 10/2006 In 1999 and 2001 a survey of hydrochemical and planktic parameters was carried out in the ausystem Orth. This report presents the general relationship between the mean duration of the flow and the geo- and nutrient chemical parameters, as well as the phytoplankton biomass. Based on the trend shown, the effect of networking measures can be predicted. In order to assess the impact of the actual measures, the situation was evaluated after the completion of the first construction phase in 2001.
