To identify QTLs involved in difference of shoot growth habit between sweetpotato and its wild ancestor (Ipomoea trifida), bulk segregant analysis (BSA) based on whole genome sequence was conducted using F1 population derived from sweetpotato (Konaishin) and I. trifida (K123-11). Additionally, expression of genes in the QTL detected by BSA were compared between stem of Konaishin and K123-11 using RNA sequencing.
