Profiles of physical-chemical variables from reservoirs in the upper Genil basin (Canales, Quentar, Colomera and Bermejales)(TED2021-130744B-C22 STAGES)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset comprises a series of high-resolution Conductivity–Temperature–Depth (CTD) profiles collected across four Mediterranean reservoirs located in the province of Granada (Spain): Canales, Quéntar, Cubillas, and Colomera. The measurements were acquired during field campaigns aimed at characterizing the thermal structure and vertical physical dynamics of these water bodies under varying hydrological and meteorological conditions. The raw profiles were originally recorded in manufacturer-specific .cnv format. All files were subsequently processed and standardized using the oce R package, following a consistent workflow that includes downcast extraction, quality screening, and variable harmonization. This ensures comparability among profiles and facilitates their integration into broader limnological analyses or modelling efforts. The processed datasets include the following variables (units extracted directly from instrument headers): date – timestamp of the CTD cast depth – measurement depth (m), referenced positively downward (m) temp – in-situ water temperature (°C) OXY_oxy – dissolved oxygen concentration from the primary SBE43 sensor (mg L⁻¹)* OXY2_oxy – oxygen concentration based on Garcia & Gordon solubility (mg L⁻¹)* OXY3_oxy – oxygen concentration based on Weiss solubility (mg L⁻¹)* OXY4_oxy – oxygen saturation (%) N2sat – dissolved nitrogen saturation (mL L⁻¹) fluo – chlorophyll-a fluorescence (Turner SCUFA, µg L⁻¹)* PAR – photosynthetically active radiation (typically µmol photons m⁻² s⁻¹) sal – practical salinity (PSU) cond – in-situ conductivity (µS cm⁻¹) specCond – specific conductance normalized to 25 °C (µS cm⁻¹) rho – water density (kg m⁻³) turb – turbidity (Seapoint turbidity meter, FTU)* press – water pressure (derived from depth when available) * Important note: The variables OXY_oxy, OXY2_oxy, OXY3_oxy, OXY4_oxy, as well as fluo (fluorescence) and turb (turbidity) may contain offsets, drift, or artefacts and should be interpreted with caution.
