Bursaphelenchus okinawaensis is a fungal feeding nematodes associated with longhorn beetles and the host plant. This nematode has recently raised as a laboratory model because of its self-fertilising hermaphroditism to investigate the biology of Bursaphelenchus, containing the important pathogen B. xylophilus. This project produces a nearly complete genome sequence of B. okinawaensis using Nanopore long-read sequencing and HiC analyses.
