Galectin-4 and its influences on function of M1 and M2 macrophages

Galectin-4 is known to be involved in multiples of physiological processes of the gastrointestinal tract, but its immunomodulatory roles are still unclear. This study investigates whether Gal-4 influences the function of M1 and M2 macrophages. In order to investigate the effect of Gal-4 on gene expression profile of M1 and M2 macrophages, comparative transcriptomics were performed in the presence and absence of Gal-4 via RNA-seq analysis.
