Internal transcribed spacer gene alignment of Ulva for new species description of Ulva sapora

This dataset contains an alignment of the partial sequence of the internal transcribed spacer 1, complete sequences of 5.8S ribosomal RNA gene and internal transcribed spacer 2, and the partial sequence of the 28S ribosomal RNA gene for 49 species of Ulva, including 12 species of Ulva sapora. Sequences were downloaded from genbank (accession numbers in brackets after the species name) or were generated by Phillips et al 2016 (CAL30, CAL33, CAL52, CAL57, BI4, PR18) as part of their study describing the new species Ulva sapora sp. nov.
