Euphorbia peplus Raw sequence reads

The latex of the plant Euphorbia peplus is a traditional remedy for warts, skin keratoses and skin cancer. Recent research indicates that the active constituent of the sap is ingenol-3-angelate (ingenol mebutate). Ingenol -3-angelate is a macrocyclic diterpene ester with remarkable antileukaemic and anti-tumor activity. We use next-generation sequencing to complement existing data, and to study the transcriptomes of E. peplus. Studies of their transcriptomes may help us to discover genes and enzymes involved in ingenol-3-angelate biosynthesis.
