The postmortem human skin microbiome

These samples were collected from human cadavers in varying states of decomposition in an effort to characterize the pattern of changes in the skin microbiome as bodies decompose. The goal of this work is to establish a forensically useful computational method, based on the postmortem skin microbiome, of establishing time-of-death of a human body discovered in an uncontrolled environment.
