Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1972, Omnibus no. 05

Danish Gallup Omnibus Data 1972 comprises 11 omnibus surveys carried out by the Danish Gallup Institute in 1972. This data material contains information from omnibus no. 05. # #Each survey contains a number of demographic variables common to all the surveys of that year, as well as a number of questions dealing with topical events. # #The questions common to all 1972 omnibuses are: degree of urbani- zation; sex; age; marital status; number of persons in household (children/adults, over/under 15); ocupational status of head of household; total income of family; the respondent's occupational status; the respondent's educational status; the respondent's in- come; position in household of respondent and spouse; occupational status of housewife; social class; type of dwelling; and party preference. # #The special questions in this omnibus deal with the following issues: # #The respondent and opinion poll interviews (e.g. Gallup polls); assessment of the TV serial 'Coronation Street'; smoking habits: summer holiday plans; holiday destination; summer cottages; Danish membership of the EC (provided that Norway joins the EC); attitudes to the EC referendum; knowledge of the EC; assessment of the TV serial play 'Livsens Ondskab' (Life's Malice) by Gustav Wied; smoking and lung cancer; TV in household; the in- fluence of Danish membership of the EC on social conditions, Da- nish economy, political independence, the number of guest workers in Denmark, foreign capital, foreign purchasing of Danish property and land; important political problems which must be solved, and the political party best suited for this; international relations; the importance of voting; and membership of a trade union
