Ultra‑thin kagome metals offer new quantum behaviours due to confinement‑driven changes in their electronic structure. This thesis fabricates Mn₃Sn and FeSn films via MBE and probes them with ARPES and STM/STS. It reports the first observation of a tunable 3D flat band in ultra‑thin Mn₃Sn, demonstrates Weyl‑fermion trapping in Mn₃Sn quantum dots, and reveals selective oxidation of FeSn’s Sn layers while kagome layers remain intact. These results show how confinement enhances tunability, informs air‑stability, and advances kagome metals toward device applications.
