DIGITAL ECONOMY TECHNOLOGIES AS A STRATEGIC TOOL FOR COMBATING THE HIDDEN ECONOMY

This paper examines the role of digital economy technologies as an effective direction for combating the hidden (shadow) economy. It explores how tools such as electronic payments, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and digital identification systems enhance transparency, reduce information asymmetry, and strengthen tax compliance. The study analyzes international experiences and evaluates the impact of digitalization on the formalization of economic activities. Particular attention is given to e-government systems and cashless transactions as mechanisms for limiting informal operations. The paper concludes with practical recommendations for improving the integration of digital technologies into national strategies aimed at reducing the shadow economy.
