High-temperature X-ray absorption spectroscopy in PrNiO3 nickelate perovskite

Here, we propose to investigate the structural phase transition Pbnm -> R-3c in PrNiO3 taking place at 773 K. The goal is to acquire XAS data at Ni K-edge around the phase transition to understand the main features of the XANES spectra. An in-house furnace as provided by the sample environment laboratory will be used to heat up the sample to 873 K.
