Unencapsulated clinical blood culture isolate. Haemophilus influenzae NML-20

Haemophilus influenzae NML-20. Haemophilus influenzae NML-20 is a clinical blood culture isolate (biotype III) recovered from a patient in Winnipeg, Canada. This strain has no capsule and therefore is a nontypeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHI). NTHI commonly cause otitis media (ear infections) in children and lower respiratory infections in adults with COPD. This strain will be used for comparative analysis.
