Strain Streptomyces sp. Da 82-17 was isolated from the rhizosphere of the Antarctic hair grass (Galindez Island, Maritime Antarctica). Studies of this strain have shown that it has a high growth-stimulating potential and can synthesize siderophores that bind Fe, Ni, Zn, Mn, and Cu and solubilize insoluble forms of phosphorus and zinc.
