Induces colony formation in the choanoflagellate Proterospongia. Algoriphagus machipongonensis

Algoriphagus sp. PR1. A genome sequence from this bacterial species would help us unravel the mechanisms by which these bacteria and Proterospongia interact. In addition, this is a part of the bacterial tree that has not yet been sampled by other genome projects and would provide a new scaffold for surveys of marine microbial diversity.
